OK, I get a better picture now.

Do you have a plan for the court appearance or does that help? I find that useful when I can figure out in advance what options I have.

I think it's really cool that your son supports you by thinking EMDR would be helpful. That's really loving.

My mother was unable to divorce my abusive father and it caused far more problems. It's a very brave thing, even if you don't think so at the moment.

Are there things which help in moments like this? Does it help if someone gently mentions that the acute part of the stress will fade in time, all the while being aware of how awful it feels in the moment?
 
I wonder if you're also maybe mad at your T and feel they abandoned you? My T just came back from vacation and as it got closer to her coming back I started to really hate her...I guess it's easier for me to turn away from someone then to bare them turning away from me. :(

Sometimes I hate everything too, I call that "going global" which usually means I need some outside perspective because my brain has turned in on itself and has a big hammer! Argh

Something that helps me when I've gone global is to think of one or two things I did "right" today and write them done or draw them...if that helps....

If anyone has any other ideas I'm open :) I've been pretty low and anxious about my surgery next week arghhhh!
