Decided To Take Medication; Wish Me Luck

Good luck!

If you decide not to go with SSRIs in the long run, I did pretty well for a while on a mood stabilizer. However, it did make me see spots, which my jerk psychiatrist denied was possible. It was for me. The other downside was having to slowly ramp up the dose, since I am very bad at consistently taking meds on a daily basis, so I was forever having to start over.

I've considered getting a script for as-needed clonopin. I have a friend with extreme anxiety who swears by it.

I wish you no side-effects ever!

Do any of you folks know of a better pharm for sleep? Been through a litany of anti-depressants and sleep meds for chronic insomnia. Just got prescribed a benzo which I didn't realize what it was til researching on the web-horrible history of alcoholism and afraid to take it. I am at wits end w sleep, terrified at night and scared will be addicted shortly...

@Cwolf220, I hope things are going better for you. No advice here I'm afraid med-wise for insomnia.

I'm happy to report after increasing my dose to 100mg two weeks ago that I'm feeling great. Nausea/loss of appetite has mostly subsided and I have so much energy. It do seem to be losing about 0.5-1kg/1-2 lbs each week so have lost about 3kg/6.5lbs so far. All I can put it down to is increased physical activity combined with loss of appetite. Still in a healthy weight range but will have to keep an eye on the weight loss if I keep losing it like this.
