Sweet, It was always a wrestling match to drive. But there was something about it, it was like a tank. I was like all the other IH products, made for farmers and built to last. I wish I had a picture of it, it looked like it was made with aluminum patches, there were a ton of them.

Mine was a 3/4 ton. With a 258 six in it and a 4 spd.. Way underpowered for the size and the brakes were hell to keep up with. I had dreams of putting in a Cummings bt4 turbo diesel motor and some chevy axles. The EX convinced me to sell it to help out with the money she was always wanting. SIGH. the body was 100% perfect on it 1971 pure white. God I miss that truck a lot. Sold it to a guy who lives in Nebraska.

Jar, go back a strip it for parts (if it hasn't been already). Those things are catching on big time. Saw one last summer that was completely restored and it looked great. Guess everybody got used to seeing them all beat up and battered, they forgot how they looked brand new and it was a good sturdy, well built little truck.

I'm afraid to imagine what happened to my Bronco. The cowboy that bought it swore he would fix it up completely and use it on his ranch to show guest around. Two months later, I get paperwork from the MVD that some kid in Cottonwood had bought it. Probably falling apart in his back yard right now.

Well, that IH went to ground about 40 years ago. Why is it so many things went south about then. It was totaled about 10 miles off the nearest highway. We had to limp back to the road and hitch a ride to a gas station. No one, I mean no one would even consider trying to get it out of the sink hole it wound up in. It went out like a trooper. :ROFLMAO:
