Disabled Veteran Fighting For Compensation

RevMike, I hope you got this straightened out. I'm a vet too, I started getting care at V.A. in 92. Finally in 2007 my doctor convinced me to get disability for my PTSD, I suggest if you are not already getting it is get ssdi. You'll find the same stories and it will take time but your PTSD is real, but be prepared. They almost always turn you down twice, lawyer or not. But get a lawyer, they are capped by how much they can get if they win for you. (it's around 2,500 dollars)

I finally had my hearing the third time around (after being rejected twice) in May and I was approved. I still have not received anything though, I will and I'll get retro-active but everything takes too much time.

If I'm way off base and you already have ssdi, I apologize for being presumptuous. If you haven't start it online now, because it takes a long time. Good Luck
