Thank you for your words. Around here it's bound to tick off somebody, but I want to voice that I would like to pray with anyone who asks. I wonder, would any of you be interested. It would be great if there was some way to share our stories of faith here. I pray. I am not interested in a discussion of theology. And most certainly not one that advises anyone on anything. Just a prayer request thread. No replies, no doctrine, just an offer of support.

Thank you for your honesty. I agree it is sad. I wonder if the administration would consider adding an option in the profiles that might help the taboo. Strength and conviction are required to accomplish the "dealing and healing" for everyone. In my opinion this is best decided by the staff. But as a member, I would like to voice that the opening paragraph states,
this community is aimed at helping PTSD sufferers help themselves through others experiences, guidance and education."
I believe that an option on the profiles could remove that taboo and allow us to express our faith, still honoring the intent of this site and it's goal.

since Christianity was responsible for some of my trauma and covering up the rest of it, prayer is the opposite of safe for me. I am just now getting to the point where I can appreciate that others find comfort and value in it, but to me, it is a poor man's mindfulness and there is better 'technology/methods' out there to achieve the same effect.

I am not religious, prayer doesn't help me feel safer.

But I believe that I am respectful of those here who do have faith, and who request prayers. I will genuinely offer my thoughts to someone. Just because I'm not religious, doesn't mean that I don't have thought and compassion for others. And I will be quite honest in my replies by stating I cannot offer prayers, but my thoughts with them don't have any less meaning (in my opinion).

I'm not an admin here, only a moderator, so I have no say on this, but I'm unclear on what you are asking. Are you requesting a profile option to state your faith?
