How else do you explain that good, decent, kind people can over look his meanness?

Because he is running against (opposite camp) of the most cunning and successful liar on the planet?

Im glad the wikileaks happened as it shows yet more lying.

He says he is talking to Putin for Isis take down. Apparently no one can seem to figure out that if you gather a few allies and put special forces on the ground and the best IT guys on the net that we can knock out Isis much easier than what anyone is doing now.

Or is that me?

Anyway, I dont see Trump near as scary as I once did the more fact based only research I do. He's got a big mouth no doubt and can be a bully no doubt but some of his ideas, when you dig right into them, make sense. I may not vote, and may still not vot Rep or Dem, im not decided as of yet. It just doesnt seem such of an oddity when you really dig into facts of what he believes and wants.

I am voting for Trump for two reasons, one is that I do not want Clinton to win, and two I do not want to waste my vote and split the ticket.

I think that for me is that this is the first election that I have had access to the internet where there is a plethera of information to be harvested on both sides.

People are going to be very heavily invested in this election I think.

I am just amazed at the amount of information that I have been reading online.

Is there a point where the bullying is a problem for you guys?

Here's my thoughts on voting. We live in a representative democracy. We elect people to represent us. The only wasted vote is for someone who doesn't do that. The 2 big parties go on about how their candidates are the only option. If we believe that, it's true. We don't have to believe it and we don't have to let them run the show. In fact, if THIS is the best they can do, we'd better stop them from continuing to run the show. Lincoln was a "third party candidate".

He is more of a loud mouth than a bully in my opinion but yes, i do have a line where its an issue.

Lincoln was a "third party candidate".

Indeed, he was. This election i seriously doubt a 3rd party will win. I actually doubt Trump will win. Too many want to "make history" again (which makes me sick) and And i myself may vote 3rd pary or not at all, undecided still. I was just saying that when you stop looking at "Trump's a bully" and read facts of what he believes, a ton of his ideas make sense and are beginning to align with my beliefs and thought processes. Thats all.

This is a really interesting summary of the past 24-48 hours in the Trump campaign from CNN: http://www.cnn.com/2016/08/03/politics/donald-trump-paul-ryan-john-mccain-election-2016/index.html

The lying about the baby/taking the Purple Heart and saying it's easier than earning it in war/sexual harassment only happens to weak women/not going to support fellow republicans who have carried his water.... It's just baffling. Any one of these things would tank another candidates campaign.

You make a good point @lostforgottensoul about Trump's policies being a reason why some support him. Many others are considering supporting him because they like his policy positions and that's enough for them to overlook the problems in personality.

Bully or not, his way of doing things matters, not just what he wants to do. Trump has failed to effectively work with his own party, and his chronic tendency to offend and scare off people across the board actually destroys his ability to have any policies that will matter. Unless he became a dictator.

His treatment of people, and the way he antagonizes so many in both parties, isn't a distraction from his policies, but actually matters in terms of his ability to have most of his polices be put in place. If he can't get along with even his own party, he won't be able to do much as president. The democrats sure the heck are not going to endure the Trump backlash to get on board with Trump as president and pass the bills he wants passed. Trump needs his own party to win seats in the house and senate, and to and be on board with him.

Even though Trump won the nomination, it wasn't by popular vote in his own party, and more and more jump ship every day.

Trump is even trying to tank the campaigns of several republicans in the senate who actually agree with his policies, just not his practices.

This matters.

Trump can't pass laws on his own. He can only sign bills that congress passes. He can't build a border wall unless congress backed him up and passed a bill to do that, and passed the funding for that bill. If he is going around insulting and degrading everyone in even his own party, he's not going to get congress to pass his bills, and he is not going to be an effective president --- unless he uses martial law and dictator like measures.

Trump's chances of winning are now estimated to be at 16%.

Trumps chances of being effective at implementing his policies as president without dictator like actions are also shrinking because he is becoming the politians people don't want to be associated with.

If he is going to be effective as president, without removing the checks and balances on the office of president, he is going to have to learn how to get along with people.

I guess I'd like to add that I'm not at trump believes anything other than he's the best thing since sliced bread. I think he says what he thinks people want to hear or whatever pops into his head, which ever comes first. He hasn't convinced me he even remembers what he says, beyond the names he calls people. I don't think he thinks it matters what he says, just that HE is the one talking.

Im simply looking past Trump "being a bully" but on the other hand I need to look past Clinton's cunning and sly lies and being a completely believeable liar (which does scare me) but looking at just facts, my therapist today made a good point against Trump. They are given secuirty breifings, in case they become President, they know whats going on, and my therapist stated that Trump stated in three (i think he said that Trump said it 3 times; but it may have been said once and had 3 breifings) that we have nukes, why arent we using them?

My therapist thinks that Clinton's lies will come out and come to light, Trump is dangerous as President. I personally havent done enough research yet of just facts without opinions to form opinions yet but wantes to share that.

I told my therapist I may end up just voting Libertarian because I hate both of them, them being the last two stading on the Rep & Dem side was my biggest fear and though I feel its just wasting a vote, I need to vote, I believe thats important but hate them both.

Rep. Karen Bass is petitioning for a mental health assessment for Trump!

I honestly think the job of president should have a vetting process that includes a mental health exam.

It's ludicrous that there's a vetting process for guns (one can kill maybe a few hundred in a gun massacre-----maybe), but there's nothing similar for the presidency-------a position which means you'll have the nuclear codes and could wipe out much of humanity.

I think it's time for this to change.

I think it's time for this to change.

I fully agree with that but I do not believe that change is Clinton!

ETA: And those that just want to make history as "first woman President", look at the sad state our country was put in by making history 8 yrs ago!

I personally dont care if its man, woman, or alien; black, white, brown, or purple; I want a good President!
