I'll start practicing my Canadian dialect

We're reasonably polite. :) Just say 'eh', watch a little hockey (or a lot), eat bacon, and pretty much anywhere you live bring mitts or gloves.

Actually, we have a Canadian version of him here, he's talking about running for Prime Minister in 3 years.

I actually feel sorry for Trump's wife. It must be very embarassing to be married to a man who holds the views he does of women & to know the whole world knows it too, while you're his lucky wife (sic). I suppose the money & power is the trade off.

(Though if I had that money I'd get a body double. :p:eek:).

OK. I'm guessing these are factors: People are fed up with their circumstances; Trump is skilled and used to using social media and grabbing attention; Hilary doesn't have that background. IDK.

Lets hope a lot of what he has been saying is hot air. Plenty of that follows him around. Any hope of that?! I agree with Junebug though and his lack of stability is one of the things that concerns me the most.

I hope no one hits the panic button though. I think he's primarily interested in his own fame & glory, so to speak. And the way he is, his running mate might be taking over for one reason or another, before 4 years.

Maybe it will bring out something better in him.

On the other hand, even my clients with dementia who could grsp it enough said, 'you can't vote for that guy, he's crazy'. :(

What disturbs me the most, is how many people feel it makes perfect sense to 'go (potentially) radical' change, instead of stopping & 'thinking'. I myself would have preferred a 3rd candidate, didn't care for either, but I think it shows not only how desperate & fed up people feel, but how they see the solution as running wide open. That never helps. It's like getting frustrated with a project and throwing it in the garbage after so much hard work. Not being able to see what's 'right' with it.

During this entire campaign, the "experts" have predicted he'd mellow out. This guy really and truly seems to have a personality disorder and I can't see any reason for that to change. What he SAYS might change, because what strikes his fancy at the moment might change, but he's not going to change. This hasn't been an act. (I could be wrong, and I hope I am, but I don't think so.)

A lot of the people who support him have legitimate concerns. He got that and used it well. But that doesn't mean his "promises" mean anything to him.

People either love or hate Toronto for the most part in Canada. Terribly high cost on homes & realty taxes, Vancouver & Toronto remain the highest, followed by Calgary I believe. Each place in Canada has a different 'vibe' really. Like comparing New York vs L.A.
