Hello, I dated this girl 11 years ago. We broke up casually and remained friends. Since then we have both lived our lives. She has had 3 children with one man who abused her for 9 years and was married twice. She came back down a few months ago to escape her abuser. We reconnected and it was very romantic. We instantly started dating, talking about our future like we did in the past. It was beautiful. Then two weeks later, she started to go dark. We continued talking but it was obvious something was different. Still, we went on weekly dates but she would not come over anymore. Which is fine of course, I was happy to see her every week. Last week from today and this week, she couldn't come out. Which again, things happen. This past weekend, things were absolutely silent. She would go a day or two without texting me and when she did, it was cold texts or just emotionless. I have done research into trauma freezes and have been just sending one goodmorning text a day and implying that she did not need to respond. I also told her in person that her silence would not push me away, as she actually told me about her freezes as well. Anyways, I really love this woman and want to know if I'm going about it correctly or if theres anything I can do to help. Thanks!
