One of my favorite quotes comes from a band called Epica in their song Cry for the Moon."Indoctrinated minds often contain sick thoughts and commit most of the evil they preach against." I can tell you that has been the majority of my experiance with christianity. The abuse I suffered in the name of god at the hands of true beliving evangelicals. I have met a few exceptions,most on this site, but the ones who have truly shown me love and kidness when I have been in need? Pagans.
Frankly, I don't see the alernative spitituality people going into the Christian forum to tell them they are wrong. Please have the same respect. I have gone in to observe but have nothing but respect when I do. I did once run across a video of my abuser there as he was on the worship team for one of the largest mega churches in the U.S. I PC'd the person and they were unbeliviably kind about it and deleted the video. BTW Some of the most popular whorship music videas and albums, the musicians are high as a kite on pot and meth. *cough* Bethel, IHOP, and Hillsong *cough* And yes I would testify to this in a court of law.
I have wished I had the guts to talk about this for years, I am finally several states away now and the fact that my husband has family in the local law enforcement in my current location. Dang, sorry didn't mean for this to turn in to this kind of post, I just have been dying to discuss it here for years and and never felt safe enough until now knowing that law enforcment has my back for the first time in my life. I am off to go cry tears of relief for finally being able to get that off of my chest.
