Emdr Looking Hopeful

@Panda Bear glad to hear that. It difficult at times but it does help a lot. Keep going and we are here to support you!

The worries are normal. Usually after EMDR session I go home and take a nap. Sometimes the EMDR session is very good and the memory is fully resolved and the positive cognition is installed. I go home feeling super high on the new insights. I go and take a nap. When, I wake up I spend the first 15 minutes checking if the positive cognition and the positive feelings are still there. It's like too good to be true sometimes.

@UniversalBeing

A lot of what I'm feeling with the last two sessions is physical pain. :(. I end up needing a serious walk to help process what's left of the pain I feel, so I'm leaving straight from the office to the nature preserve. I feel it on my own, the need to go, but T was also insists that I go and wanted to make sure I had time built in after sessions to walk.

Last night, I was really really sleepy and had off and on feelings of needing to cry. But I'm not overly anxious and that's helpful. We are doing shorter amounts of the EMDR, just working with bits of memories. We have identified the negative thoughts, but haven't worked in the newer more positive thoughts. It's starting to come along as the week goes on, I can reflect and have tiny bits of understanding that what happened wasn't my fault.

@Panda Bear I don't have any physical pain but I do feel very tired afterwards even dizzy. I usually go to bed after it.

That happens to me also. Small fragments move, things connect through the week. I reflect better on things in my life. It takes time but definitely worth it.
