Ah... That makes a helluva lot more sense! Endromax kept popping as the A.Sulfate in my PDR. But it looks like just a typo. Reboxetine has a brand name Edronax.
Short answer, not that one.
Long answer; But I have taken another short acting Selective Norepinephrine Reuptake Inhibitor... Atomoxetine/ Strattera. It's an ADHD drug. Didn't do much for ADHD (I'm comorbid, but more to the point, I react weird to meds *because* of my ADHD, and it worked just fine with it), but it did a whole helluva lot for my PTSD stuff at very, very low doses. In theory an adult dose is 80-160, child dose is 40-80. I only took 10. ((I started low, worked up to 160, then backed off until I was at the level that felt best... Which is standard protocol for ADHD meds.))
One of the things I loved about atomoxetine is that it had a wicked short active life. About an hour to work, and half life of 5 hours. Out of your system in 24 hours.
Looks like Reboxetine is about double... 2 hours to work, 13 hour half life, 3 days still in your system. Which means it's still short acting. Most antidepressants have half lives of 2-5 weeks. Means a helluva taper & withdrawal.
There's a little bit of talk (very little) of using Straterra/Atomox for PTSD. It's already used off-label for anorexia. Selective NorEpi's aren't used much, in part because their effects tend to be subtle... Rather than boom! like serotonin re uptake inhibitors. But anecdotally, part of why it tends to work well for ADHD & Anorexia is that it gives a level of control over your own thoughts and emotions. It doesn't alter your thoughts or emotions like a lot of drugs, but instead let's you choose your own. Thought pops up? Nope. Not dealing with that right now. Crushing shame? Nope. Let's move past that for now. And everything is saved for later processing. You can still deal with stuff, just on your own timeframe. Which is crazy useful. Also mad calms the hyper vigilance & intrusive thoughts... Whether it's from the constant influx of info around you (ADHD) or about your own body (anorexia)... And in my case gave me full stop *control* over my anxiety, flashbacks, and insomnia.
If rebox works anything like atomox? I can see why it would be shit for stand alone depression. Depression is pretty damn global. But I already had a leash on my other problems. Atomox meant I wasn't fighting for control of that leash. LOL. Like I had a well trained dog at the end of it, instead of TheBeast.
So, personally, I would be cautiously optimistic.
But I'm always cautious with meds. None of our neurochem is the same. What works one way in one brain, will not work the same way in another.
