Other Energy Medicine Healer Saying Hello

I guess I should say welcome and I will, but I for one, had some really bad experiences with people who were into the 'spiritual arts.'

I'm very wary of this now. These people were the biggest ego maniacs, betrayed my trust and hurt me very badly.

You may be different, but I've found on my path that the people who are into the 'spritual arts' are very often the most extremely messed up people I've ever encountered.

I hope you aren't one. It is so important to have your emotional shit together when you are saying you are 'treating' another with a disorder as potentially life-threatening as this one.

I say, leave it to professional therapists. If they happen to have a spiritual bent, then great. They have appropriate boundaries and are trained to treat PTSD.

You aren't.

best of luck

Well everyone, good luck to you all on your journey. Hope you find peace and healing in whatever form it may come to you.

Sincerely,
Orca

Hi Manic11,

Yes, there is more available than many people think.

On Fri. I had a client come in who has been dealing with the aftereffects of having been abused as a child. I did some shamanic stuff, which is quick and can happen in a blink. With her, Reiki and qi gong didn't really work. Stones didn't work because she only switched her obsession from other things to worrying about if she had the right stones and was doing it right, etc. Soul dialog didn't work because she jumped into her head and that is a place where nothing can really happen. So I did some shamanic stuff as I had to peel off some stuff that wasn't hers, it was stuff that had come down thru the family lineage. There was quite a bit.

She wrote me she is doing much better and at least able to sleep better. I'll see her again this week.

None of this energy stuff looks all that fancy, so if one didn't know any better, one might assume nothing was going on. But it's all in the intent.

Orca

Very fast work on that ladies nightmares, must be a miracle?

Each to their own I guess.

Welcome Orca!
Thanks for your tips; I'm interested in what you said about dark stones.. I was looking at some snowflake obsidian in a store the other week and felt an overwhelming urge to touch it and when I did I felt instantly calm; I suppose I should have bought it, but I think it can be found naturally around where I live, so maybe that is what I need to go do. What are the spiritual risks in using shamanism for a person who has been severely spiritually abused as well as having PTSD? Thank you!

I've found that there are times, for example, when acupuncture does not work, nor does Reiki, but crystal work is the huge breakthru.

I work in an integrative med setting, so we use a combo of things, including my work (energy med), along with allopathic, acupuncture, and herbal medicine. We've found that even stuff like nutrition and supplements have shown to be helpful with dealing with stuff like panic attacks, etc..
Hi Orca,

I am a victim of a very violent crime. I have tried acupuncture, reflexology and therapy. I have thought about trying reiki to help me over come my feelings. I know I am a very strong person for others but taking care of myself has not always been a priority. I have two boys and the youngest is autistic. He has to live in a residential facility due to his severe behaviours.

Any way I would like to understand more about reiki and the crystal therapy that you spoke of. Can you explain a little more about that?

Thank You.
Sandi

Orca, Welcome to the forum. With all the research I have done in regards to trauma and recovery you have my curiosity.

How does your work process the trauma? Every method I have studied uses facing and changing behavior and action. Thanks, Whitney
