I am very proud of myself, as I have not had a cigarette for 4 weeks!!!! And, I am really confidant that I will never have another one. I have been managing physical cravings with patches (they are well controlled) and the emotional distress with a puffer as needed (some days my meditation and breathing are enough, and some days I use the puffer).
Yes, I still need help with this, and plan to follow the full 5 month NRT program - but what an achievement.
I have done some good work on my PTSD and think that this has helped me to cope, despite having to deal with more stress than I would have believed was possible.
I have been through absolute hell since September, and my doc thought that I was mad to try and quit - but I have managed it. So think that, although it's pretty soon in my ex-smoker journey that I am going to consider this a major accomplishment!
Congratulations, ((((hugs)))) and well-wishers will be gratefully accepted.
