Whoever the stupid, friggin 'Theys' turn out to be this time, the thing is, no one is going to remember what their ridiculous, doubtless incomprehensible agenda might be, if we even understand it to begin with. They say don't ever negotiate with these pigs, we can't give in, and of course not but you'd think they'd have gotten an eyeful of us by now, knocked this stuff the H*LL off. From whatever their perspective is, it doesn't work. Our skyscrapers get built higher, our battleships still scan horizons, our public buildings still feature government workers eating lunch on benches in the spring sunshine, and the starting guns at our marathons will still find our athletes locked elbow to elbow before stringing out to all those miles. All the 'Theys' have blown all of these up through time somewhere, we mourn our dead, carry them with us in our national, and I see world psyche, but something in us as plain, old humans disallows this intrusion into Life. You'd think they'd give the heck up, already, we're not impressed, just really, really sad sometimes.

So yes, Pray for the victims, ok, if not pray, send Light and Peace and Love to them. Same thing.

I actually know the area fairly well where the bombings occurred. I used to go to clubs behind the Fenway and hung out at the Charles river. It is interesting to note that though the people in Mass. voted for the death penalty twice, it was overturned by their state legislature. So much for the voice of the people. It will be interesting to see what ensues when they catch the culprit(s) and I hope they are more forthcoming than they were at Bengazi.

"There is only one way in which one can endure man's inhumanity to man and that is to try, in one's own life, to exemplify man's humanity to man."-Alan Paton

There is no way to comprehend the incomprehensible or to rationalize the irrational. In a world where there is enough pain and suffering from life, I will never understand those that deliberately choose to inflict more. So today I will focus on those in Boston who opened their doors and their hearts; the first responders that bravely went to assist before they fully understood whether or not danger passed; the doctors and nurses who worked to treat and save; and every other good soul that put forth the best that humanity has to offer.

Obviously if you are an american you feel more connected to the events happening in Boston, not elsewhere. But I know what you are saying. Somalian children are being killed every day by their own people. American Airstrikes have killed innocents all over the world throughout history. And then there are the slow suicides of kids raised in orphanages in Russia and Eastern Europe...start drinking at ten and die at age 20.

Are we to take it that you know who did these attacks, anni? Seems a little premature, no?
