Feeling Used And Rejected

I had been flirting with my contactor for 5 months when he took it to the next level. But I found that all he wanted was to use me for only that. No contact in between seeing him. I started feeling used. So I wrote him off. Figured I can find another contractor. All of a sudden he started texting me again and me like an idiot thought Id give it one more try. Well I really felt used. SO I told him its not working for me and asked if he was willing to invest a bit more of himself to whatever this was. I was told it was better if we just went back to doing buisness. Im really hurt. I feel like a fool. Used and rejected. But I can say im proud that I took a stand so I at least see growth

Sorry that you were treated that way :(. Its bound to make you feel rejected, but you took a stand and set boundaries which means you are NOT a fool. Please dont think that about yourself - sadly these are lessons that we learn in life when we allow ourselves to open up - you will grow stronger from this.

I had not allowed that kind of contact in a long time like 14 years so im really feeling punch. Bc I told him from the get go that i have been very hurt. Then for him to use me like im a fiing meat market im so mad at myself

It's hard to know unless you give things a chance. Giving it a chance was brave.Knowing when to quit was smart. Not being able to read his mind? That would be 'human', huh?

There is a deficiency in him, not you. Some people are just not capable of anything "real" and you found one of them. Actually, there are an awful lot of this type and I think we can only be careful but we don't have the magic to prevent the hurt. You are human. I hope you forgive yourself.
