:unsure:I am new to this and i am unsure about many things, but I am not unsure about the need for me to finally stand up and face this illness-head on. I am not naive enough to think that I can do it on my own so I am looking to share, chat and learn new things as well as share my knowledge & experience wit the disorder with others.
PLEASE! No matter what your feelings my be regarding the religious aspect of suicide, or your own personal feelings as to whether or not people who take their own lives are "cowards"...
PLEASE DO NOT share any negative opinion with me. I am tired of hearing that ! Not only is it presumptuous and inconsiderate, it is downright ignorant to say that to a SOS -(survivor of suicide). I am here for help, not more criticism and rude comments.
Basically, I was diagnosed with PTSD in 2002, shortly after my Father took his own life. It has been the most difficult experience of my life and there is not a day that goes by that I do not think about it. In all honesty, I could have been diagnosed much earlier, based on the experiences of my seriously tragic and traumatic childhood, but my fathers' death brought my illness out into the open, when the symptoms and repercussions could no longer be denied.
