I suffer a lot with flashbacks and I was wandering how to stop myself disconnecting from the real world because when this happens I often self harm or do other destructive things and as I am only 14 this is causing lots of trouble at school.
 
There are techniques to help you with dissociation, grounding can help you remind yourself to be in the present moment. What you see,touch,taste and hear at that moment or say your name and where you are right there. Mindfulness apps to help practice being in the moment or YouTube videos, even mindfulness colouring to distract you.
