You has so got this. I am so proud of the courage you are showing. I know that once you get there it will seem scary but I promise you that the work that you do there will amaze you. I won't say it is going to be easy because I would be lying but one thing that you will have there that you most likely don't have at home is an entire group of people that know how you feel and understand what you are feeling. I am so excited for you and I will keep praying for you complete the program.

Hey everyone, I need help!
I was accepted at River Oaks for trauma treatment. I have tried to get on the plane something like 5 times!! What I am I going to do? I am fearful of flying alone. I have never been so far from home, only been on a plane once, and didn't like it....I need someone I trust to fly with me but they won't. I am almost out of xanax, and my back is against a wall here. I am so afraid to get on the plane...alll the different things that could happen swirl in my head. I have been through enough... I need help but no one will help me get there. UGH!!!! I just want to get to treatment.
I hope some one reads this.
Fear of flying is fear of flying. It has nothing to do with PTSD. Separate the two issues. Yes, your anxiety is skyrocketing perhaps over reactive if I may say because of PTSD. You said you have never flown so far from home. That in itself is a reason to fear it. Many people do fear flying and do not have PTSD.
