This is part of my second deployment on the USS Guam

thats a start.. and ya the water rly is that blue in the last pic... tidy bowl blue (the blue toilet sanitizer for you non yanks lol) that ship on the horizon is part of a soviet fleet out of the black sea... we were out with two carrier battle groups and an amphib expiditionary unit.. (8000 18 yr old Marines who havent had sex in 3 months is nothing to screw with no matter what the country lol)

It was in the Aegean, just ouside the Black Sea.. playing chicken and you can read up a post or two and see the chicken we were carrying lol... 2 carrier groups, amphib group and at least one confirmed SSN.. (saw it on the big eyes right behind the Kittyhawk, well the periscope at least)

first one is my first day on ship.. berthing with Weapons Platoon, 22nd Marines, 26th MEU... gotta love the shoebox locker... second one is the Prudential rock for those from the states here.. the Rock of Gibralter.. the wave above it is volcanic dust being blown in from Mt Aetna in Italy...

The next one is like "Where's Waldo" lol no one ever notices the two dogs going at it in the shade of that car...

I was scared to walk down the streets here (Rota Spain).. everyone drove their little Peugot 500 mph and had no regard for human life...

Russian destroyer off the starboard bow.. they loved playing chicken and so did we...

Lastly for this bunch.. the Volkswagon of amphibious ops... the CH-46, smoothest ride in the sky...

ok not last.. the nastiest chopper you wanna meet.. UH-1W Cobra.. awesome pics

next round of UH-1W harrasing a Soviet listening post ship... hovering 10 feet off the deck with that 20mm chain gun following anything that moved... also M-60 tanks with fording gear.. never saw that before.. a 15 foot snorkel for intake and exhaust... when we went into to Turkey headed for the Kurd lands they landed like that in case they had to debark early..
