Frequent Yeast Infections

Pretty much been on and off for years now.

That is the key. What is the 'off'? What gives you a wee reprieve? What makes it better?
Yes alcohol is likely to be a problem, but not necessarily. A dermatologist is the best bet!

LOL! Got the cream to cure the rash and happy until I read the instructions!!

Damn! Cannot use it until I have my period because it stops the pill from working. Turns out all antifungals do!!!

Cannot risk that one! Damn! Just finished my period so I have to wait another 3 weeks!!! Kind of funny in a sick kind of way.

Brucielucy to answer the off? I get an outbreak at least twice a year, but only on my butt! Nowhere else! I am thinking it could be caused by the summer heat as it seems to come around summer, and my love of beer. Damn that yeast :p

Also it does not seem to be contagious. My partner never gets infected with it after sex. It is totally bizarre. I honestly do not understand it at all.

Ugh. Sensitive subject, literally.

Two suggestions
1. Lubricate well before intercourse
2. Estrogen cream. My mom had a similar problem. She was estrogen deficient and they prescribed her some sort of insert.

After many efforts using creams whatever. Finally got down to the problem.

Shaving....

I stopped shaving completly down there, just trimming and doing my bikini line. It has now stopped completly. Seems having no hair was bad for me. It was causing skin infections. Sure everyone is different, but I am never shaving there again. Trimming and bikini line only for me.
