So I take minipress, trazadone and ambian for sleep to help with my nightmares. Although I have more good nights (no nightmares) with this combination. When they kick in I don't even feel tired it just shuts me down like a light. My wife has saved my life twice from falling asleep with food in my mouth. the first time I was sleeping in my bowl of popcorn with my mouth full. So she banned me from eating after I take my night meds. Does anyone else take the same for sleep or have this problam with other meds?

I just started ambien. I take 10 mgs so far I haven't had any problems with it actually it just makes me drowsy and doesn't knock .me out. Minipress is actually a high blood pressure med I took it twice and it dropped my bp too low I was barely alive. So I don't like Minipress. Ive also been on trazadon and that gave me a bad hangover knocked me out and no nightmares so that was the good side. Tad

Lunesta, Trazadone and lisinopril + Neurontin= 10 min drop off time and I am unconcious until it all comes back and haunts me and I'm wide awake again Just friggen tired as all hell. Best med I have found is I go up to bed about 30 min before the wife with Bailey- She has the best calming effect on me and I can calm enough to get a few hours in.

Well I am back on a combo of Valdoxan (resets sleep cycle), I take it around 6.30 pm and it calms me right down, then 30 min before bed, Avanza Soltab 30 mg. It has to be the soltab. I have only changed back 3 days ago and have had 2 what I call good sleeps. 3 hours first stint, then 6 hours. Hope it keeps up.
