Goal For The Day

My goal for today is to set up a time to practice driving over the weekend. I need to familiarize myself with the instrument panel of the truck and practice backing, parallel parking, etc..

I also need to spend some time meditating, creating some positive affirmations, practice breathing techniques, and focusing my attention on thoughts of success rather than on fears of failure.

My initial goal for the day is to refrain from beating myself up over anxiety symptoms and worrying myself over things for which I have little control..(such as other people, situations, triggers).

I suppose then, my goal is to seek acceptance of these things in my life and put the focus back on the control that I do have....

*(Counter-Thoughts and Affirmations):

"No one can control everything at all times, and it is wrong to expect this of myself."

"I do have some influence over anxiety symptoms and I can practice letting go of the things that I can't control.

"I will allow myself to be a little anxious at times as this is normal, however I will use my coping tools/meds to stave off anxiety/panic attacks."

"I can't control every aspect of life, but I am not powerless to affect the direction of my life."

New goal for the day: Write down and re-read these affirmations.

Relax and rest, I am tired from my late night.
Watch movies.
Do the morning chores.
Take a shower.
Fix something good for dinner.
Relax and go to bed early.
 
Shopping goal achieved.

Hubby was anxious before we set off but was fine by the time we got to the train station.

We bought him shorts and trousers, but did not buy shirts, we can do that another time. We then looked for a light weight raincoat for me but failed on that one.

We then had lunch out and came back tired but happy.

Hubby is now asleep, with an aching back but a full stomach.
