To fix myself up more then just pulling my hair back. To get through the day without much anxiety(so far not working). To be alert enough to help my son after school with his homework(that he waited to do until the last minute, oh well).
Went to the community food bank to pick up a food basket today - while on welfare I really don't have a choice. I went a few hours early and made a gigantic pot of homemade turkey rice soup for the staff, volunteers and hungry mouths waiting for a food basket. I am learning to be humble and to accept help even if it is humiliating. Asking for help is a humiliating process for me. After getting my food I came home and relaxed for the rest of the day. Lugging 30lbs of groceries up a huge hill for 30 minutes without a cart is a tiring thing - my shoulders were killing me when I got home.
Tomorrow I have a therapy appointment and may add a few extra errands into the mix. For me I need to plan close to when the day happens what I will do so that I don't put out too much energy and end up feeling burned out.
My goals for today are, do the wash. Call and make a doctors appointment for my husband. Go and get a carton of smokes. Go to the bank and get cash for us. Get frappes. Fold the clothes and put them away. Dust and vacumn the house. Fix dinner, and relax.
Went to my appointment today, got access to a public fax machine to send documents to the welfare office. When I take them directly there they frequently 'lose' them. This way I have a fax confirmation and a photocopy with proof that I sent it. Went to the bank today and deposited my check and paid back my roommate part of the money I owe him.
Found out today that the two thousand dollar charge that was fraudulently put on my credit card last year has been reversed, just waiting for the bank to reverse the interest that was on it. Huge relief even though my credit rating is destroyed. Lesson learned: once this card is paid off I am going to live credit card free. Having my personal information mailed out by the credit card company without my permission and without knowing about it is what resulted in my information being stolen.
