Being surrounded by countryside so there were woods and a creek to play in as well as an abandoned house and miles of roads to pedal and two kids my age next doot to save me from insane isolation.

*Blowing bubbles from a jar.
*Watching Star Trek with my brother.
*Painting oils on canvas with my Grandmother.
*Playing -board games, instruments, chess, cards with my brother and Grandmother.
*Singing lead in the choir, solo on speaker in elementary school.
*Playing Olly, Olly Oxen Free in the neighborhood.

*Riding ponies and horses bare back and with only a halter or hackamore.
*Gymnastics and the uneven parallel bars.

If re-making childhood in adulthood works for answering, also bubbles.

And toys. I bought myself so many plushies I've put in a cupboard, wondering if it's too silly or what.

Actual childhood: Making shelters out of wood, caring for bugs, watching animals. Messing with my fingers and needles just to see what it does. Drumming.

@Cashew In a 12 Step Program a group of us decided to give our inner child some of the unmet needs. One of my favorite post was by a 76 year young woman that bought herself her first bubble jar, another (a therapist no less) wore a pink tiara and had a pretend English Tea Party with the new Teddy Bears she had bought. Neither had a pleasant childhood but that did not stop them from creating memories.

I am proud of you. ((((hugs))) if you accept

Riding bicycles with my brother (hes younger than me) and going up and down dirt hills with him and his friends.

Bright orange tiger lillys near a cousins home. I loved them until he and his brother ruined them for me.

Playing at the beach with my brother.

A blue checked dress I had and got dirty in. Yeah I'm not a girly girl.

Climbing trees with my brother.

Going to stay with my cousins in London. Not so much the sightseeing and day trips (of which there were loads) but going to the park, going shopping and having lunch in Burger King afterwards- I loved the little toys I got in the kids meal's, having water fights with my little cousin in the back garden and dancing to Right Said Fred on his mum's bed.

Also the moment I first tied my shoes. I was so proud for that accomplishment and for having them. So much I didn't wear them for a long time and just watched my pretty tied shoes. Sibs thought it's idiotic as they're for wearing, it was fun.

An Aunt taking me on their family vacation to beach. I was very young, and remember thinking this is what peace feels like. No shouting, arguing, or violence.

I didn't live in fear.
Sad, but I was like 4 or 5 years old.
