Happiness Challenge Round 3 - Starting June 1

This is my pet Betta Fish. His name is Rubio and he calms me when I sit and watch him slowly saunter around his tank. He has 10 gallons to make himself at home in :). And watching him makes me happy. So I thought I would share, in case any of you need a simple, easy to care for pet that takes little if no effort (except when you need to clean the tank!). Even cleaning the tank is not a lot of trouble, because in my case I have a catfish that kind of helps keep it from being too messy. Cat, as I call him, eats up algae too. So the glass is very clear. I bought them at Walmart, including the tank and supplies.

We always had fish tanks when I was a kid. I so enjoyed them, that when my father died, I decided to get Rubio in his honor, because daddy was the fish hobbyist in our family and this was a nice way to celebrate his memory. Daddy left me a bit of life insurance money, so I wanted to spend a bit of it on something that I could remember him by as well as all the things I needed.
 
Someplace back there it was mentioned that we should keep the round 2 private email going for round 3. There are good points to this and not so good ones too. It could be confusing for new challengers. Personally, I'd prefer us starting a 3rd private email for the 3rd challenge.

What do you folks think?

Clarification due to the existing members continuing and no requests from anyone new we will use the existing private conversation for posting.

Anyone who would like to post their daily check in here is encouraged. You may also request an invite for the private conversation if you were not in the last challenge.

Anyone considering joining let us know ASAP. So we may include you in the private. Many are more comfortable posting in private. The benefits are rewarding if not miracles!

I'm having a blast, not thinking about having to do all 5 things, but just doing what I feel like doing of some of them. Doing all 5 for both challenges and the interim was maybe too much for me, so I am focusing on just doing what I am up to doing.

This morning I FELT LIKE cleaning our apartment building's picnic table, which was all covered with pollen. So I did! I got a pail, brushed it down with soap and water, and whoooppieeeee! It is like brand new. Next I shall sweep under it, as it has a bunch of small garden rocks that got tumbled under it in the recent wind storms we have had. I'm not sure if I should put up a notice on our bulletin board about it, to welcome folks to it again, maybe. I am not one to brag, so I probably won't sign it if I do.

So that was my random act today.

I feel good.

I'm new to this forum, and I think this is a great idea. I would like to join in on this challenge, since I could really see some major good coming out of it. It includes a lot of the things my behavioral therapist has recommended that I do but I have difficulty sticking to daily. I'd like to be in on both the private mail and the open forum, please. :)
