Hey everyone,


i just wanted to wish all of you(yes every single one of you) a safe, and happy holiday season. For whatever holiday you celebrate. What is everyone doing for thanksgiving? What are you guys thankful for? What are some good organizations to donate to and give back this holiday season? Please comment and share I'd be happy to hear about what everyone is doing. I'm thankful to have this community as a place of support and refuge in my times of need. Best wishes to you all.

Happy holiday Moshpit... a day at home and dinner for two for us this year. Blood or platelet donations are always good. I'm thankful to have a home and a job and a spouse who is supportive (puts up with) of me. There are many worthwhile places to donate... the question is time or money or???

Happy holidays @The Albatross ! Sounds like a peaceful day spent with someone you care about and that's always nice. That's a great suggestion! I've given plasma before so I'm sure I could do that. I am mostly looking to make monetary donations as I cant get around on my own right now. I'm thankful that you have all those things as well and that you are safe. It's good to hear from you!

I’m waking up early to prepare my own dinner, then volunteering, then coming home and cooking.

I suspect at some point I’ll collapse. Lol.

I am traveling across town to dinner at the in-laws house. Get to see my nieces and nephews, meet my sil’s new boyfriend. They always make this dinner so gourmet, fancy and elegant. Not my style, but I really enjoy it once a year! Glad I don’t have to cook. Then... dare I say it? Will go shopping the sales with my daughters and friend. I really used to enjoy this pre-ptsd. Last year caused much anxiety. This year, will probably do the same. Not sure about volunteering (other than performing music at church) but plan to try to focus on prayer this season.

Happy holidays mosh, I am planning a crockpot with a whole chicken and some potatos and a carrot and spices. I am going to wake up slowly sipping at least two cups of coffee. I am going to fix eggs and toast, then I am going to clean up and start putting things away in a spare bedroom so I can dust and then start decorating my place for christmas and I am so having a fun time planning this. Then I will put together a little christmas tree, decorate it and them take pictures to share of the finished production. I will put my red berry wreath on my front door and then I am going to start calling people I know and having a good chat with all I can get ahold of and then I am going to eat, and have hot chocolate with christmas cookies and just enjoy looking at the lights on my tree and watch christmas movies.

Perhaps visit neighbors as well. It is going to be a first fun holiday since my husband dies four and a half years ago and I am really proud of myself. It is going to be fun in spite of being alone.:roflmao:

I hope you have a great time with your family and enjoy the extravagant dinner lol. And also that you keep some useful coping and self care tools in your back pocket during holiday shopping. I too, am trying to focus on more prayer this season. Please take care :) @TexCat
