Have You Ever Been Prescribed A Medication That Had A Dangerous Side Effect For You?

I'm hypersensitive to both sulfas and salicylates (the active ingredient in NSAID's). They both cause a rash, wheezing, fatigue and muscle pain. The sals cause cognitive issues as well. The sulfas also cause nerve pain and spasms that progress into convulsions and I get to be fully conscious for it all.

At first my docs didn't believe me and prescribed meds that had these ingredients and I had a couple of really horrible weeks. I have new docs now.

Cymbalta - the devil's drug.

Coming off that nightmare I was as suicidal as I've ever been in my life. It was AWFUL - the only thing that saved me was a friend of mine who is a naturopath healer, advised me to take calcium and magnesium to soothe my central nervous system. It worked. Cymbalta did nothing for me when I was on it, and nearly killed me coming off it.

Lamictal made me so numb I wasn't bothered by the contemplation of suicide at all. I got quite far in my planning before I realized what was happening. Thank goodness it was easy to drop.
