Have You Tried Lucid Dreaming? How Did It Go?

I have read a little bit about the Critical Incident Debriefing. I think it works. I read a book by Robert Moss where it mentions taking control. I find it very beneficial to us if we can work out our dreams in our sleep.

Sometimes I have lucid dreams. The giveaway for me is when I realize that I can't read something. If I am stuck in a nightmare and I see something that I can't read I instantly realize it is a nightmare and that I am dreaming. I then utilize my dream super powers and tend to fly around a lot. But those are rare occasions, because I don't have many nightmares that involve written script. But I would recommend that you get in the habit of reading signs, newspaper and magazine covers and the like. If you are ever running from a group of people trying to kill you and you see a big sign post that you can't read, well you can always just fly away.

Another way to determine whether you are awake or dreaming is touch. If you get into the habit of touching the wall next to you while you're awake and feeling the texture, and you say to yourself, This is reality or I am awake, then you can try to do that gesture when you think you're dreaming. If there's a mismatch between what you see and what you feel, you can say, This is a dream. And another way is when you see a pattern. Words are one example of a pattern; bricks, or the pattern of a carpet or wallpaper is another. If you think you're dreaming and you look away from a pattern and look back, and it's different, you can recognize that you're dreaming.
