how much I dissapoint myself and others
This also is for me one of the hardest aspects to bear from PTSD. Compassion for self is hard but necessary. Ms Spock did a 30 day group in PM. Start a conversation with her and she can send you links for the material used for this. Be gentle with yourself. :hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug:
 
I don't cry. I don't remember crying as a kid and I'm sure, if I did, it was not helpful or healthy. After a couple years in therapy I was able to spontaneously cry a tiny bit, silent and motionless but a good stream of tears. So it's something I think we all could do naturally, but I suppose I instinctively had to sense a massive well-tested amount of safety. Now that seems to help me integrate "stuff" at the end of sessions. So I know it can be healing. But I never cry on my own...that would still mean something like total collapse.
