I'm gonna go with you are not a difficult patient. It's the VA. "nuff said.
Can you get a referral to an VA therapist who does EMDR? There are mixed opinions on its treatment for CPTSD but its been helpful for me. And are you in touch with the local American Legion? They have a great support staff of advocates who can help you get thru the paperwork mess because they have had translation training.

Good morning! I too am a vet and just entering the process of getting help with my PTSD. I have some military friends that have found great comfort in medicinal marijuana. They don't smoke it and are never high. I don't fully understand it, but it seems to really work well for them. Maybe something to suggest to your therapist?
