My T uses therapy that deals with the present. If I go off on any rabbit trails into the past, he gently acknowledges what I'm jumping into and leads me back to the present. I really like his style. I don't want to get stuck in the past or future. Going through the present is somewhat tough, but I seem to be pretty good at it. Good luck on your Therapy.
