Sufferer Hello, Diagnosed Through Va

Just an intro here. I've been diagnosed with PTSD and have been through group PTSD Clinical Team (PCT) at the VA.

Still having issues and searching, hoping to find ways to deal with it.

Welcome and thank you for your service. I'm a Navy vet with PTSD as well, sevice connected--but it's not combat related. I pray you find comfort and peace because although our traumas are different, we are still fighting the same fight. Again, welcome and thank you.

PCT actually stand for "PTSD Clinical Team" at the VA. The therapy is called Cognitive Processing Therapy, same letters just different order.

Thank you. I've ammended your first post to make it clear. I'm in England and here PCT = Primary Care Trust.

If using abbreviations, it is best to spell it out, put the abbreviation in brackets and then use the abbreviation in your post.

Psychological service dogs are a big help with ptsd, dogs in general are. You may want to check into it if you do not have one there are programs for vets all over.
