Ok so he tells me he feels at peace when he's not home with us (me and our sons). Yet some days are wonderful others even looking at or speaking to me is a issue for him as his eyes look so full of darkness. When I ask if we can talk about it he gets angry and in a calm voice says no because if we do I may not be able to control my anger? Huh?? Sooo I quietly walk away and let it go. So my question is if ea not willing to communicate with me except on rare occasions and it's very small pieces at a time, and he refuses counseling because he says it us, yet he's this way to all of us includig family outside the house. How can we grow closer? Especially when even something simple like touch is an issue for him. Hurt my ankle the other day and ask him if e could rub it for me. His touch was ruff and almost as if he couldn't eat to do t. There was no emotion just quick grabbing of my ankle?his energy even felt off. He said he's trying. I've been bein patient for the last 18 months and I've seen some improvement but then it seems we take 5 steps backward. He can hang with new friends an have a great time but with us it's like it's a chore. Suggestions?
