My girlfriend has ptsd, ctd and personality disorder, Ive been caring for her the last year, as of late i feel useless to help her, her mums got a returning cancer which is now terminal, her fathers ill also, shes got so much on her shoulders its harrowing, we've been in homeless accomadation for 5 months now this has had a damaging effect on her we have a thing called a crisis team in the uk, shes seeing them soon, other than that there hasnt been much support, i just wanted to ask how i can be there for her?

Sounds like you are already there for you. There isn't going to be anything you can do to help or fix her mental state... that's the rub about being a supporter. All we can do is support. We can't make anything better.

Just be there for her.

Is she in treatment? Or is that part of the crisis team?

Thank you for your reply, the crisis teams a suicide line hear in the uk we are currently using a homeless doctor in which physchitris (incorrect spelling) change all the time so theres no stability for her which means shes repeating herself to them which is really fustrating for the both of us as its got her no where in years, shes done so much therapy with so many different cpns its hard for her to trust them with that information. Weve felt like weve had no where to turn tbh. Its good there are forums like this the nhs is collapsing here.

I hope this is not impolite... and I do not know you or her... but I think if a person sees herself or himself as a career instead of a spouse there is the danger the relationship becomes a bit one sided and I think it is important to make sure that this does not happen.
