Have you tried talking to a counselor? Whatever you are saying you should not feel guilty about, a lot of folks come back from a stressful situation and they have everything stored up in their heads and that is what is the cause of their anxiety.
It is important to find somebody, either who you love, your dear friend, or your counselor to get all the thoughts out of your head. If you don't do it, it is just going to be there forever and it is going to make matters worst. I would also suggest joining a volunteer programs, working on projects that you always wanted to do, joining your faith, reading novels, etc. This could be a moment to chase your dream, things can still turn around. It may take some time but there will be light at the end of the tunnel, I guarantee.
