I am the daughter of a now dead abusive alcoholic. To me, the story of what happened doesn't matter outside of I'm in the PTSD (C-PTSD if you're open to the designation) boat with all of you.

Thank you in advance for all of the support and any suggestions and advice you may give me over the time that we know each other.

Welcome to the forum...I look forward to hearing how you have dealt with your father's death. My abuser is now in his 80's, and I wonder how I am going to cope with his passing. Guilt, relief, genuine sadness?

Welcome to the forum Minilop. Hmmm found a3a2's question really interesting. My mom is an alcoholic, she has been all through my life (I'm the eldest of 5). Glad you have found us as there is a great support system here. I got my PTSD from witnessing a crime ... guess I was a tough cookie as my family life screwed me up but didn't PTSD me. Will be looking forward to your threads.
