Just personal experience. Radical Orchiectomy (RO) at age 40 due to testicular cancer led to depression. My surgeon said he should have warned me about the Major D as fully half his patients were diagnosed with it after RO. Then, one month later, after major surgery (RPLND), I was diagnosed with PTSD. I had the prerequisite childhood trauma, so I never thought much about following up on the drop in testosterone. Seems likely that it made an impact though.
