How do you keep up with eating, sleeping, and medication schedules?

Good day!

Just a quick question. My service dog will be re-training this month and next, but I had stopped her from doing several tasks that would require her to walk or jump up. (She tore her ACL and was recovering from surgery.)

Since she stopped helping me though, I’ve been failing to take all my medications, my sleep schedule has gotten crazy, and the medications I do take seem to be taken at the wrong times.

So I was wondering what y’all do to stay on schedule, without dogs. Nestle will be back in business soon I hope, but I thought it would be wise to ask this anyway. Probably should have earlier!

Thank you for any feedback :)

Can you make a list? Put alarms in your phone? Buy one of those plastic pill containers labeled Monday through Friday? They have a.m and p.m slots too. I keep my morning pills by my toothbrush so I don't forget. I pack my vitamins with my lunch so at least I get them 5/6 days out of the week. As for sleep? Can't really help you there other than sticking to a schedule. I'm glad Nestle is feeling better! Yay! :)

Oh gosh, I can understand all of this. I don't have a do for this, and I am complete lost so much of the time. I try to take my meds as directed, but I swear there are so many days that I don't know if I have used my inhaler. At the end of the month, I know I have too many left because I error on the safe sine...but no good for me. I hate not remembering.

I have a pill organizer that is meant for taking set medications 4 times a day for a week. This gives me twenty eight individual cells for my morning meds. I put it near the place I sit in the morning and leave a cell door open when I have taken the med. Later in the day I will close it and place it back in its morning position.

A medication (anxiety, explosiveness) I take three times a day I put in a pocket pill organizer. I used to set cell phone alarms until they interrupted group. I did miss a couple of doses because of this. One time resulting in some unexpected explosiveness. Maybe I should reset those alarms.

My evening medication (sleep) is simply placed on my bedside table. I don't take it regularly, my reminder to take it is when I find myself unable to sleep.

@MrMoonlight Oh, good idea putting them close to where you'll see them at the right time. I'll try that too.

I learned from another thread I started that it's possible (on iPhone, at least, probably for other types of phones too though) to set an alarm that only vibrates without sound. On my phone, the vibrate type was customizable (spelling?), which is cool. That way I could tell it from a phone call or something.

wish I could help my J as easily.
I believe in you!!

If it helps you feel any better, as cooperative as I am for people on this site and doctors and psychologists, presumably because I don't like being disliked, I'm equally as rebellious with people I love. Haha. As in, I'm hoping he's listening to you anyway even if he's not fully showing it. :)

And that's why I love you @littleoc You have a heart of gold! Thank you so much for your kind words. Just what I needed today. XO ... @MrMoinlight, "cell door porn" lmao. That's a heck of a spell check you got there. ?

I have no idea why i always type Moinlight instead of Moonlight. Slip of the finger?? :)
