How Do You Know When Your Done Isolating

I'm just curious as to what moment brings my vet to come back to me after isolating. Perhaps once the anxiety has subsided? Does he feel less numb?

For me? I actually feel... lonely and bored. When I get there I'm feeling more able to join society.
I'm going to guess it's different for everyone.
It has been a gradual thing for me. I've very slowly felt... lonely and bored and wanting to reach out to those around me and re-engage. It's had to be on my terms and I've withdrawn several time as needed but I'm further out than I have been in a very long time.

My experience is that it's like a switch. Just like how at a certain point the stuff I'm getting from interacting with people doesn't outweigh the stress that that brings, after a while the comfort of isolating doesn't outweigh things like loneliness or need for human closeness. I'm pretty rarely in the middle. I'll have times that I'm less inclined to go somewhere super busy, sure. But for the most part it's very clear when I consider options of what to do whether being around people or being isolated is going to be the choice that tips the scales in my favor right then based on stress level.

For me it's like sleeping. How do I know I'm done sleeping? I wake up.

Sometimes I wake up too soon, I haven't slept enough, and I need to go back to sleep. Other times I should, but don't/can't & there are a series of consequences to that; ranging from simply being a little tired and not at my best to hallucinations & inability to think/act rationally due to sleep deprivation.

No idea what he feels.
