After my therapist told me some absurds and assumed things that are not really true (like that I have to have a relationship problem with my husband based on my childhood history) I left therapy and now I am looking for a better way to get a new therapist once that I had called a lot and interviewed some before starting with the last one.
I was wondering if there is a complementary way to check the background of a therapist rather than just looking if s/he is licensed. I might be wrong, but looks like a lot of them has the license and are not good or at least don't have the necessary tools to treat someone like me, with a lot of trauma-related issues.
