How to stop/manage sweating so much?

I get hot sweats when stressed and also out of the blue even when I'm not panicky. Know for sure this is not from just the weather, altho humid days add to it.

The only way I manage it is to use deodorant or perfume when going out and wear cotton instead of polyester, helps a lot.
It's annoying sometimes changing clothes throughout the day, and also bedsheets too often.

When I have plans I can't drink too much water so I either need to go every 10 mins or be dehydrated, worst part is I don't know when a hot sweat will happen, since stressful situations can appear anytime and place and don't know if I will be worried as I react differently sometimes, so can't time or drink the exact amount beforehand. Anxiety can cause you to go as well which adds to it.

Clothes: If you spray the INSIDES of your clothes with starch, before ironing? You’ll be slick as a baby seal INSIDE your clothes, but the sweat won’t show through your clothes. Ditto, using Elmer’s glue in your creases before ironing (and then snap them open after) will keep creases sharp, unless/until they’re entirely soaked. As Elmer’s glue washes out, so total soaking kills the creases. BUT? Until the creases themselves have been drenched / With sharp creases, people don’t notice that you’ve jumped on a wrinkle grenade, across the REST of your clothing. It’s a DI / Hot Weather trick; YOU will be miserable, but you will LOOK cool/calm/unaffected.

Hair : If you have long hair? Gel & Braid, Gel & Twist, Gel, & Bun. Applying water only makes you look MORE put together, not less. Short hair? Stick your head under a sink a couple few times a day.

Sheets : Double sheet your bed a couple/few times. Waterproof mattress protector + sheet, h2oproof protector + sheet, etc., etc.. Strip off the first couple layers every time you wake up drenched in sweat/swear, drop by washing machine, step into shower, fall blissfully clean/dry into clean/dry sheets. Repeat as necessary over the course of the night. 30-90seconds elapsed time. Wash&Remake the double/triple/quad layers tomorrow.

It's very annoying and upsetting.
Can I ask if you are also peri menopausal? And if that is adding to it? It adds to it for me.

Cotton is my best friend, like you way.

Does breathing slowly help? Trying to regulate the body when the sweating starts? Particularly if it's anxiety induced.
I've given up being embarrassed by it. It's been a life long thing so I go with it now. And it happens less now or it's more able to say "menopause" and people accept that.

Doctors say: exercise, sleep, healthy food etc. Are those things able to help?

I actually thought the title of your post was how to stop swearing so much and I was going to say that I like swearing...

But yeah, sweating as a trauma/ stress response...

As a child, I learned to suppress all my trauma repsonses... I could be having a panic attack and I'd just dissociate and make sure that no one could "tell" because I was so scared that I'd get into even worse trouble... So I learned to suppress all trauma responses, to the point that later, as an adult, when I started talking about the trauma, people who had known me as a kid would say "That can't be right, you never seemed scared/ traumatised..."

The only trauma response that I couldn't get my brain/ body to suppress way sweating... Literal fear sweat... It's a different thing to sport/ heat sweating...

"The human body has two different kinds of sweat glands, eccrine and apocrine. Eccrine glands produce the watery sweat we need to keep cool in hot weather and during exercise. This type of sweat begins after a slight warm-up period and tends to be odorless because it is composed mostly of water. Eccrine sweat glands are located all over your body, but especially on the soles of the feet, the palms, the forehead, the cheeks, and in the armpits.

Apocrine sweat glands are found mostly in you underarm area, genital area, and on your feet. Apocrine glands produce a thick, viscous fluid and respond immediately to stress – no warm-up period required – to produce sweat that is full of proteins and lipids. The bacteria that naturally inhabit the surface of your skin love to feed and grow where there are proteins and lipids. And where there is bacterial growth, there’s odor."

Nope, not menopausal.

Breathing sometimes help depends on how stressed I am but it usually makes me more stressed by focusing on that, especially in public haha.

I loose a couple hours of sleep every now and then but I'd say I get just enough, food is out of the question due to my eating disorder, in fact it should lower my core body temp and heart rate.
