I'll probably just be a lurker. I have PTSD from really bad emotional abuse and a car accident. I just want to understand it more.

Being here just reading is a good way to start. Maybe then in time you will write more, even if it just to ask questions. There are many members who will reply to you with knowledgeable answers.

Welcome to the forum. Many people here will be able to relate to your PTSD, if / when you feel ready to write more. But take your time. Have a good read around the forum. You don't have to post to gain valuable insight and to learn that you are not alone.

hello TJNM, you will meet many other people who have developped PTSD because of an accident. Take time to read some articles, some postings and take time to meet some of the members. For me, this forum was a great help and brought some stability and it became a safe place for me.

Lurking is welcome at all times. I do it myself and have been a member here forever. :) It's a safe place sometimes, as Froggie said, when no place else feels like it much. It's also pretty much an across the board great place for good, solid information if it is understanding this PTSD thing you're looking for.

Hi TNMN, welcome to the forum. We all lurk at some point, especially when we are uncertain.

I suffered emotional abuse as a child and then PTSD occured after a car crash - so snap - well sort of. This forum is amazing, the articles really helped me. Plus I have found friendship, love, support and understanding. It is a great place to be.

So lurk if you wish, post if you feel like it, just take baby steps.
