Bought new lipstick. :D

Which looks like a lip gloss but it drys like a lipstick would. I have it in another color and love the way it feels. It drys on the lips, and it doesn't move. But the color I have it in is so bold and bright that it's hard to wear. So when I saw a more wearable everyday color I knew I had to buy it.

Replaced my liquid liner as mine is drying up. Bought new mascara too as I am finding mine to be to natural looking. Natural isn't bad but I am enjoying playing with my eye make up recently. I am going to try a new look today.

I got the new lipstick today. I LOVE it. It's amazing. I have never fallen so fast for something and something I am having a hard time finding major issues with.

It's lighter then the above picture. It goes on really nice. The color is soft pink that reminds me of a something I see a lot in magazines but the color is still vibrant all at the same time. It looks very nice, doesn't look outrageous as some of there other colors in the same line. I understand 'natural' looking makeup, this lipstick is board line. It's soft and light but you can still see it. But it's not like a bright, deep red lipstick where the first thing people think when they see you is 'Wow! How bright...'

Personally I like that it is still noticeable.

Wonderful. Thought of buying more colors or maybe the same color again just for my purse or school bag. The only thing I noticed is the need to be careful when applying it. It's dry, so when you put in on (much like a lipgloss) it will settle in the cracks on your lips. You need enough product and even rubbing your lips together wont work. I ended up just rubbing it in with my finger and then adding a bit more. That worked perfectly. Not a major thing though...

Eyeliner...I bought two. I am going to test them and then return the one I don't like. One is a normal liquid I have used before and the other is a gel liner in a 'pot', you need a eyeliner brush to use it. The gel liner sounds like more work but the reviews are saying it's easier to use and lasts longer then anything else. For months I have wanted to try that gel liner but it is expensive. Eyeliner was $24 and the brush is $27, that's a big investments and the liquid liner is $18, no brush required. But I caved anyway, the hype, the reviews, and the long wear all got to me. I have a terrible problem with eyeliner smuggling all the time...

I went through my make up stuff. I need to return about 4 items and it was sad to see all the products I have and don't use/like/used to like and now don't. I don't even want to think about how much money was wasted.

I bought some highlighting blush becasue I saw that 'glow' is in. Since I noticed that blush really really helps me I thought it would be fun to try out. I also bought some Dior lipstick (a dark pink) becasue I recently worn one that I had forgotten about and loved. Bold lips are in too apparently.

I bought a Dior lip gloss as well, in shimmer pink but now I am wondering if I am to old for lip gloss. I'll see when it gets here. Dior as always felt to me as for woman not girls. It's designer, the price, the packaging. It's not for teenagers. So I will see when it gets here.

I always ordered a new brush too. I had to really talk myself out of it. I love brushes for some reason. And since I don't really need anymore...they would just be a impulse thing.

I use to be one of those makeup girls behind the counter! Now a days I rarely wear makeup. Lipstick use to be my main stay, but the depression kind of took that away from me. I'm starting to get back into it. Before the depression hit bad, I had bought myself a neutral eye palette and a whole new brush set. I'm not much into foundation, but my skin is beginning to sun blotch. So I haven't gotten much use out of my makeup. I love makeup. I get that from my mom.

I was loving lipstick too. Still love it but then discovered Nars and Urban decay lip gloss which is great for summer.

I have been wearing my eye shadow the same for about 3 or 4 months, golds, pinks and browns. My eyeliner changed recently to black with red/pink glitter in it, to that match a color (blackheart) in the Urban decay Naked 3 palette I have.

Sorry about your depression. :(

Oh... just catching up on this thread - all that beautiful make up! All those names I'd love to try!!!! I would love, love, LOVE and Urban Decay Naked pallet! And a Nars lip gloss.

You're NEVER too old for lip gloss!!!! :)
