Hello, I am a new member here. I have cptsd related to domestic violence and sexual assault. I'm here looking for support and information to deal with my illness. It's nice to meet you all. ~LadyLazarus

Just so you all know, I am new here. If I mess up, tell me nicely, thank you.

I have cptsd or rr-ptsd as some like to call it. I was hostage to my huband's violence for nearly 3 years. I survived only to find that I haven't really survived at all. I am trapped in ptsd and relive thing over and over. I am using EMDR as a therapy. I am very isolated. I have no one I trust except for the anonymous nature of the web and a handful of professional people. I'm book smart but void of sense. I'm scared but saddle up anyway. I'm artistic, a careful plodder and very down to earth so you know kind of what I am like.

Welcome to the PTSD Forum. Thank you for sharing some of yourself with us. I believe you will find the members here truly helpful and supportive as you work on healing. It may not feel as though you survived, but you did and you are working on getting well. It will get better over time.
