I will not accept without a huge amount of proof from a good doctor that there exists a "medical condition" that requires frequent masturbation.

I understand that porn can become an addiction just like alcohol (from the relief, escapism etc) and computer games. The actions are ones not deemed appropriate or normal however there is an issue and the person has created a habit to deal with how they are feeling. Possibly becoming so convinced that it is a medical condition whereas it is actually an undesirable coping mechanism.
