I Am Tired All The Time And I Know It's Not Depression Related

Honestly considering how I just go through one stress after another and another and another and another maybe that's what it is. I mean My stress and anxiety are HIGH LEVEL. I'm terrified of everything almost all the time (especially the past 3-4 days mostly because of personal problems and a huge financial situation I'm in) and all I do is worry all I do is panic. I suppose that could really tire someone out. I am certain though that I am sleep deprived due to the physical issues I mentioned but yeah I definitely suppose stress could be a major factor to this as well.

It certainly takes a huge toll on your body. If you consider that even normal levels of work stress etc. is really your body in fight of flight mode - then add PTSD on top of any other issues your experiencing, you are probably quite constantly in this mode. Your body is constantly in overdrive, constantly hyper-alert, ready to help you escape or fight off some invisible evil. I have had a psychologist tell me once, very honestly, that life will always be, even when I am well, more tiring for me than people without PTSD. There are times when I have been known to sleep for 12 hours, and I can still be tired when I wake, although I am not depressed. I saw that you mentioned you are having nightmares too, which, for me at least, means that even when I'm sleeping I never seem to feel refreshed.
Anyway, I hope you get some answers to this issue. I know how frustrating physical health issues are on top of dealing with mental health as well. When you are physically tired and ill, it depletes the resources you have and stamina for dealing with those mental health issues too - it always makes me more unsteady.
Good luck.

Yeah and considering everything I'm diagnosed with is exacerbated by stress. Well almost everything. I mean stress makes ibs and GERD worse and both of those things cause interrupted sleep. Luckily I'm going to be starting CBT on Thursday so maybe that'll help put me I. A better frame of mind than I have been. Thank you :)

Consider Adrenal Fatigue; different from Chronic Fatigue. Not something that comes up on regular testing and not recognised by mainstream. You need to consult with a doctor who is also a practitioner of integrative medicine, for them to consider it. It can cause anxiety or may result from chronic anxiety, if my understanding serves me correctly. There is a huge list of symptoms associated with it but a few stand-out ones include feeling lousy when you wake up, dark circles under your eyes, difficulty thinking straight/memory. Look it up and check out the symptoms. Can you make vegetable soups and then process them with, say a stick blender? That should be a good way to get vegetables in to you, without having to worry about chewing/denture problems.

I had my adrenal gland tested though, or is this something different? They did the test there I got a cortisol injection and then they took my blood after thirty minutes and then again after sixty. As of now I have managed to raise money for implant surgery on my bottom jaw and I get that on the 24th then it's just about a month more of healing before they can implant the dentures which will be held in place completely also I will get a brand new set which will be better aligned for my gums and they will be working on my gums to even them out a bit more so the dentures don't suck so hard. It'll be probably like January when I'll be all healed and ready for the implants but not too much longer. As of now I've found some things like, well they are called mashups and it's basically like applesauce or mostly tastes like that, and other fruit, but has veggies mixed in and it comes in a pouch like squeeze pouch really super easy and fast to eat so that's been very helpful.

It doesn't come up on the regular tests which doctors in mainstream medicine do, as they are usually only looking for extremes in either direction, to indicate Cushings or Addisons disease. Hence you need to go to a doctor who also works in integrative medicine (search online to find practitioners in your area - there are integrative medicine association/s with websites); they usually arrange for some different tests after spending a good amount of time with you to consider the whole picture in an attempt to figure out what's going on. Search adrenal fatigue - there is plenty of info which should give you an idea about symptoms.

I discovered the adrenal link by accident - I had a half used jar of herbal supplements in bathroom cupboard; hadn't worked for me before, probably because I didn't take them frequently enough; they are specifically for the adrenals. I took them as directed and they made a huge difference - had to recount what I had been doing differently to make me feel better and then realised it was these herbal things. A friend had suggested I try them; I bought them but really only made a half-hearted attempt. Now I'm regretting that I hadn't done a better job of it at the time; was going through huge stress with my life spiralling out of control and I ended up losing my job not long after.

@TimidZiggy I don't know if they can or do stay. I had a reond, angry red rash, when I got bit. But not everybody gets one. I know the rashes can be there, fade away, and then pop up again somewhere else or in multiple places at the same time. But there are some 13 different types of bacteria you can get from tick bites, so the other types than what I have (Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever comes to mind..) may have welts like the ones you have. Also, a LOT of people who are bit by ticks never see the tick, or know they've been bitten. Sorry I can't be more helpful than that. :(

Everything you've said points toward fibromyalgia. My 22 year old daughter has it. Low Vitamin D is a characteristic and feeling tired all the time. In addition muscular pain and stiffness are the hallmarks. Maybe check with a rheumatologist about that?

It's hard for me to get in with any actual doctor because of my insurance I'm getting a sleep study in January but I literally had to make that appointment 6 months ago I was even put on a waiting list so they could call me earlier if something opened up and nothing did. I haven't tried a Rhumatologist though but because of my insurance I might need a referral and if that's the case I have to see a GP and right now I can't even get in with a GP so there's a lot of problems but I'll look into that tomorrow thanks.

Hi @TimidZiggy no worries. I haven't been on here since I posted to you.. Sometimes I'm just too overwhelmed. I don't think the rashes all have to be the same. And there can be more than one. Hard telling, really.
