I can't stop thinking a huge war is coming

@Sarah1025 - lets gat back to what you can do to manage the anxiety spike you're having right now.

Did writing all that out help, at all?

Do you have any distractions that you know will work for you?
He said much of what you said. And that sometimes depressed people thrive and get highly functioning.

I need to tell myself that.
This is a good thought.

I feel more powerful. And like I need to move ASAP. And not have a phone or anything linking me to the new address. I will be in the first wave rounded up as a leftist resister.

Which is horrifying. But I still feel better? Brave as hell. Telling my story, this and my family. My last 2 years were hell. I have not a person in the world, but I am a tough, smart survivor.

I really want a big city full of people. Not a small failing traumotized city. Easier to hide in Vancouver or Toronto than the North or a cabin in the woods.

Not what I expected. I came here 2 hours ago in abject despair with no hope. "Freeze" now I am in "Fight" which is actually planning "Flight". And I faced the Cop actually trying to terrorize me yesterday. I am already in a civil war, except rule of law exists here. I am not safe at all. I need to sell my house as fast as possible, even at a 25% loss. It is leave or risk death.

And somehow, that feels better than despair.

Okay but consider this:

If there are roundups that you fear, the whole process would take a while. Also be chaotic as hell. Also mean it'd take douches a while to figure where to start, sort out their own infiltrators, traitors, informants & spies, get the agenda stomachable version to normies and all.

Which means what? Time. No need to hurry up with any moving.

The opposite. Figure a safe place and stay put. Do something stabilizing, too. All that rushing alone sounds stressful.

First, you may need to stop watching all media, it can really make me anxious it's so full of negativity.

Second, IMO, a direct war between Iran and the US is VERY unlikely.
  1. Except for the 1980s war when Iran fought Iraq, Iraq doesn't really fight wars, it doesn't have the money or manpower to do that.
  2. Iran's economy is in shambles, it can't raise money from taxes, the money just isn't there.
  3. Iran fights via proxy by funding other extremist groups. These extremist groups are very small, underfunded, under trained, and honestly, not that organized, and they are being taken apart in each country they are in, like Syria.
  4. Iran is not going to take on the US directly. It knows it cannot win.
  5. Iran likes to rattle sabers, not much else.
Instead, try turning on some nice soothing music from Youtube or something. That's what we do when we're not watching a specific show. Search for "meditation music", there are 100s of videos, some are just an hour long, some are 10 hours long.
