Sounds like a good idea. It does work differently than the majority of SSRIs and SNRIs - and that might address your tolerance problems while still getting you some relief.

If you're in the US, I'm impressed your doc came up with the suggestion. They sound like a keeper to me

If you decide to try it, let us know how it goes.
I'm afraid I'm in the UK! I'm not sure if they do Agomelatine in the US. Worth asking though!

Oh they do - just, in the US, it's pretty off the beaten path, since it was approved later than the things that are more commonly prescribed, and it's not necessarily more effective, just different. The testing to make sure the liver is OK is the sort of thing that in the US can become a cost-problem, that's all.

Following.

I recently tried Lexapro which impacted me even on the smallest dose possible (5mg) from day one, so I stopped after merely three days. Considering it took me months to even start, that certainly wasn’t helpful.

I don’t think I need help with depression, but my anxiety probably would benefit from tending. I don’t have my next PDoc appointment until mid-November, unfortunately, but I’m also already reluctant to become a guinea pig
