I just wanted to say welcome, @BrokenCrayons, and underscore this.Going 2-3 days a week at first might also help. Stabilizing yourself is very crucial. Finding small things that make you feel strong again will help.
It's great you'll be starting EMDR. It's going to be pretty exhausting. If your therapist has the time, you may want to schedule an additional weekly appointment that isn't for EMDR, but that is dedicated to current symptom management. Basically, a 'coping with processing trauma session' in addition to the EMDR session.
Also - structure helps. It's OK to keep things really simple. It's easy to get frustrated with ourselves when we feel like we used to be so capable, and now can't manage even the simplest of things. But you need to think of it like a physical injury - which it is. Rehabbing your psyche is hard work, and being patient with yourself will be an important part of the process.
