I find it hard to maintain a job due to dissociation and triggers. I will start out fine but as soon as the stress starts - not understanding something, not doing it well, someone scolding me, I go somewhere else in my head. Usually the stress and embarassment will drive me to quit, although I have quit because I was afraid of getting canned. Never have I been fired, but I know it is only a matter of time once they see the "real me", the complete and utter looser. Any suggestions?
 
Tap into the discipline that you have for as long as you can, and when you're tapped out, you may have to quit, but I believe your threshold will get higher as you hold out each time.

I'm a combat Vet and have used this to get through many situation despite the turmoil inside.
